2026 Life Logs, Day 32: First Day of February and a Full ‘Snow Moon’
Date: Sunday, February 1, 2026
Weather: Overcast, Windy, Some Snow; High Temp 26, Low 13 degrees F
Location: At Home with My Shadow, Falmouth, MA

A few days ago, it looked like we were going to get another snow storm overnight last night, but the storm went further out to sea that expected and we only got some wind and a little bit of snow. No accumulation. But the below freezing weather is still with us, so last week’s foot of snow is still on the ground. Tonight, the wind has calmed down and the full ‘snow moon’ is shining down on all of that snow. Last night was clear and bright outside. I made my last trip outside with Shadow at midnight and I didn’t need my headlamp. Tonight is not as clear, but still beautiful.

I literally can’t believe it is February. Where did January go? And where did today go? I managed to spend another whole day on my computer. So, no news from me. I have no idea what happened in the world today. But I know tomorrow is Groundhog Day. Will , Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow? I have no idea, but whether or not he does, we will have at least 6 more weeks of winter. I just hope it doesn’t stay quite this cold for much longer. It really does make you want to hibernate.
