2026 Life Logs, Day 173: The Three Amigas
Date: Monday, June 22, 2026
Weather: Cloudy with Periods of Rain; High Temp 74, Low 64 degrees F
Location: At Home with My Shadow and Friends Lynne and Peppe, Falmouth, MA
Once again, a good deal of the day was spent getting ready for my sister’s arrival at her new home at Bridges of Epoch in Mashpee. The trip north begins tomorrow morning around 9 am and hopefully she will arrive here by Wednesday afternoon. Fingers crossed.
If you have been reading these logs, you know that my friend Lynne Kirwin has been here visiting. And today another friend, Peppe Christianson arrived. I met Peppe in Salomon Atoll in the Chagos Archipelago in the middle of the Indian Ocean. She and her husband Bob sailed into the atoll in mid-April of 2010. Lynne and Ed of Constance and Mark and I on Windbird had been there for a couple of weeks before Far Niente arrived. The three amigas try to keep in contact, even though we have lost the three amigos. Bob, Ed, and Mark. Things I needed to do to prepare for my sister’s arrival kept me from visiting with them this afternoon, but they hung out with Shadow and caught up on happenings since they were last together. Tonight we did go out to dinner together for some sushi and Chinese food. Lynne leaves in the morning, but Peppe is here until Thursday morning. So hopefully we get a chance to catch up tomorrow.
