Happy New Year! I always try to spend my New Year’s Day the way I hope to spend the next 365. My dad always said that you will spend the rest of the year as you do on this day. So I got up and went on a cleaning frenzy, visited with Heather, Jed, and boys for a bit to help them get leftover Christmas cookies ready to hang on the trees outside for the birds, came home and cooked dinner (so far, so good), and tried to get a yearly update letter written to friends and family. In typical fashion, the letter is not completed. So I guess I’ll spend another year trying desperately to get things done that just don’t get done on time. Some things never change!
