Day 72, Year 8: Sailing in January
Date: Monday, January 14, 2013
Weather: Partly Sunny Day, High Temp in the 70’s F
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC
Mark and Lee went sailing on Lee Way today. It was a lovely, warm day and they had enough wind to sail for a couple of hours before the afternoon doldrums set in. I seemed to spend my day spinning my wheels, but I’m hoping that the guilt of getting little done today will result in a super productive day tomorrow. When Mark returned from sailing, we headed to my sister’s house for dinner. We decided to do a cook out to celebrate the summer-like weather. Even after the sun went down, it was warm enough to sit on the back deck to have drinks and watch Mark and Joe grill veggies and fish. It was a fun evening.
We heard from our daughter today that she, Jed, and the boys will not be joining us in Florida in February. We were super bummed as we were looking forward to some ‘fun in the sun’ time with them, but we will just have to wait until we return to Woods Hole in the spring. Mark and I will still go to Florida sometime in February to visit with his family and return here for the month of March. Then we’ll have to start thinking about heading home to Cape Cod. But for now, we will just enjoy these wonderful, warm days
