Day 71, Year 8: Enjoying Unseasonably Warm Weather
Date: Sunday, January 13, 2013
Weather: Sunny to Foggy to Partly Sunny, High Temp in the Low 70’s F
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

It didn’t feel as warm today as it did yesterday, but it was still delightful. And now the forecast is for 81 degrees F tomorrow. Unbelievable. Today we did drive to the beach and went for a nice long walk. Just as we arrived, a fog rolled in, but before we left, the fog had dissipated. There were loads of people on the beach, some in bathing suits. We had on short sleeved shirts and shorts. It really was too warm for long pants. I love it. While walking on the beach, I got a few photos of the water birds. Birds are just like kids. They just don’t do what you want them to do. Every time I would walk close to a flock of gulls to get photos, they would fly away. But then when I wanted to get a video of them in flight, no matter how close I came to them, they didn’t fly. Go figure that one out.

Tomorrow Mark is going to go sailing with Lee on Lee Way, but I am going to stay put and continue with my computer work. I am still working on getting all of the Year 2 logs transferred from a text file to Word. It is a painstakingly slow and miserable job, but I am making progress. Maybe by Wednesday, I’ll really be ready to write.
