Day 67, Year 8: Glorious Weather
Date: Wednesday, January 9, 2013
Weather: Mostly Sunny and Very Warm (73 degrees F); Turning Cloudy Late Day
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

What glorious weather. It was sunny and so warm today that a long-sleeved shirt was just too hot. Mark and I took a walk on the boardwalk around Coquina Harbor and both wished we had worn sandals with no socks. What a change from Cape Cod. The waterbirds in the area knew what a beautiful day it was today as they frolicked together in the water. There were loads of pelicans and I had a great time trying to photograph them. While on the walk, we talked about boat projects and made decisions on what should be attacked first. As soon as we got back to Windbird, Mark got the freezer running. We have not been using it for the past few months due to battery issues, but since we are plugged into the dock and not planning to move for a couple of months, it made sense to start using the freezer. Than Mark launched into getting the watermaker running. He did a pump rebuild which took all afternoon, and once that was done, he needed to reinstall it. That is always the tricky part and today it was trickier than usual. He worked until 8 pm and still didn’t have it installed correctly, so he put the project on hold until Friday. Tomorrow we are going to Wilmington. Before Christmas we made an appointment with Customs to get a decal that allows us to have easy boat re-entry into the United States. We were going to need this for going to the Bahamas, but even though we no longer need it immediately, we are going to get it for future use.
