Day 65, Year 8: Heading Back to South Carolina
Date: Monday, January 7, 2013
Weather: Same, Same–Partly Sunny; Daytime Temp in the 40’s F
Location: Visiting with Heather and Jed, East Falmouth, MA

Today was a day of finishing up the painting project we started when we arrived, playing with the kids, and getting ready for our return to Windbird in South Carolina tomorrow. We have been here ten days, but the time has flown by so quickly. I’ll have a hard time leaving these three little ‘munchkins’ tomorrow, but we are hopeful that Heather, Jed, and boys are going to join us for a week in Florida near the end of February to visit with Mark’s family and to frolic in the sand and sun. The tentative plan is for them to fly down from Boston and we’ll fly down from Myrtle Beach to the Fort Myers area on the Gulf side of Florida. This is where Mark’s two sisters and only brother all live. We were going to stop in Florida on our way to the Bahamas to visit, but since we aren’t going to the Bahamas, we decided that we are long overdue for a Florida family visit. It has been almost four years since we have been down to visit with Mark’s family, so we are really looking forward to the February visit. We are also looking forward to returning to South Carolina tomorrow. We always miss being away from Windbird and we so enjoy being near my sister and brother-in-law. So even though we are sad to leave here, we are looking forward to the next three months in South Carolina. We probably shouldn’t have launched into another project today, just before leaving, but we are so glad that we did and got the hall trim painted. It now looks finished, and we are so glad we were able to help with the project.
