Day 56, Year 8: Work and Play

Weather: Overcast with Rain and Wet Snow Late, Temp in the 30’s
Location: Visiting with Heather and Jed, East Falmouth, MA
Our day was mostly spent just relaxing and playing with the boys, but we did
sneak in a little work project. Since we left here in November, Heather and
Jed have replaced the kitchen flooring and painted the living room walls.
This morning, Heather started ripping off the old, flowered wallpaper in the
hallway and the paper in the kitchen, so we all pitched in to help. This is
a multi-day project, but by the end of tomorrow, the walls should be ready
for the new paint. When Heather and Jed bought this house, the flowered
wallpaper in the hallway was the one thing they wanted to change ASAP. But
there were always other things that were more important. So it will be great
to get this project done.
We are certainly enjoying our time here with Heather and Jed and the boys.
Oliver is still not quite sure about us yet, but we are making inroads. We
play games with Sam and Jonah and both boys enjoy playing with Mark on his
new Nexus tablet. Sam plays Sudoku with Granddad and both boys enjoy a
program that allows them to draw on the tablet with their finger. And then
they watched a movie on it with him. So that new tablet is getting a
workout. If the snow sticks overnight, we’ll be outside playing tomorrow.
