Day 50, Year 8: The Race to Christmas Day
Date: Sunday, December 23, 2012
Weather: Frost Overnight but Sunny and Warm Today
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

It is that time of year when there are many things left to do and very
little time. Today Lynda Kaufman and I baked pecan pies and I worked on
getting a holiday letter written to send to family and friends. I’m still
working on that, and hopefully it will go out in the morning. Mark dealt
with getting the last of the Christmas presents and I made soup for dinner
for Patsy and Joe. They spent about 5 hours in the car driving today to take
their grandson to a halfway point between here and Charlotte where their
son-in-law picked him up. Tomorrow I will take Patsy to Myrtle Beach to do
some last minute shopping and we will do the final food shopping for
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Since Mark is flying out on Christmas Day,
we are also getting his things packed and getting Windbird ready to be left
alone for a week and a half. I will be here until Friday, but we’d like to
have things secured and ready to go before Mark leaves. So the race is on.
