Day 27, Year 8: Let There Be Lights
Date: Friday, November 30, 2012
Weather: Mostly Sunny and Warm, Cold at Night
Location: Lightkeeper’s Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC
Today was Windbird’s turn to get decorated. With the help of our friend
Lee, we found lights we could afford at a Big Lots store. So now Windbird
is all lit up for the holidays. Mark also got the starboard side of the
boat polished with AwlCare, so the topsides shine as well. I spent my day
going through Logs from Years 1 and 2 of the Voyage of Windbird and started
making corrections and getting all of the logs in the same format. It is a
slow, tedious job, but I’ll chip away at it little by little.
In between working, we continued the online search for Christmas presents.
Tonight before we go to bed, we are going to send our wish list to ‘Santa.’
We went out for a Friday night pizza dinner with my sister Patsy, her
husband Joe, and their good friend Brian. Tomorrow we are going sailing on
our friend Lee’s boat, LeeWay. His wife Lynda won’t be sailing with us, but
she will join us when we return to the marina and we will all gather on
Windbird for dinner.
