Day 23, Year 8: Loving This Weather
Date: Monday, November 26, 2012
Weather: Beautiful and Sunny, Daytime Temp in the 60’s
Location: Lightkeeper’s Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

The weather here has been phenomenal since we arrived. The sun has been
shining non-stop and today the temp was in the mid-60’s. We had a couple of
really cold nights with temps hovering around the freezing point, but
tonight we don’t even need the heater on because it is considerably warmer.
We spent our day doing boat chores. I cleaned inside and Mark cleaned
outside. Then we spent two frustrating hours trying to book our flight to
Boston in late December. The internet was incredibly slow for some reason
and it just took forever. In the end, we were successful and we have our
flights booked. We didn’t go with the cheapest flights on Spirit Airlines
as the times would have required a hotel stay on arrival and again on
departure. With US Air we can leave in the late morning and arrive in
mid-afternoon going both ways. So we paid the extra. We will fly home on
Friday, December 28, and return on Tuesday, January 8.

In the late afternoon we went out to do some food shopping and to go to a
phone store to see why my phone just stopped working about the time we
reached the Delaware Bay. If we had called AT&T days ago we would have
found out that all we needed to do was to take the battery out and reinstall
it. I guess it just needed a reboot. So now it is working once again. We
then went to my sister Patsy’s for dinner. Tomorrow morning we plan to go
back to my sister’s to help put up the Christmas tree and then we are going
to do a little Christmas shopping online and in stores. I think Black
Friday and Cyber Monday got our kids to start thinking about Christmas, so
the lists started arriving today.
