Day 209, Year 8: Living in Two Weather Worlds
Date: Friday, May 31, 2013
Weather: Another Beautiful Day, High of 70 degrees F
Location: Eel Pond, Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Woods Hole is five miles from downtown Falmouth and about ten miles from Heather and Jed’s home in East Falmouth, but the weather difference is unbelievable. We can leave Woods Hole in the fog and find a bright and sunny Falmouth. The temperature difference is five to ten degrees all the time. So today was sunny and 75 degrees F in Falmouth but barely 70 in Woods Hole. And an even bigger difference was experienced by Heather, Jed, and boys as they drove north to New Hampshire. It was 90 degrees there—very warm for this time of year in the North Country. When I report the weather in this log, I am always reporting from Windbird’s location in Woods Hole. So today I spent my day in East Falmouth and enjoyed the 75 degree weather while Mark worked at West Marine. Heather had to work this morning, so Mark and I met her in Woods Hole and I drove Mark to work and took Ollie with me. Then Ollie and I went home and spent the next couple of hours just hanging out together. Heather and Jed then came home around 1:30 pm and did the last gathering of ‘stuff’ for their weekend trip to New Hampshire. Mark works tomorrow and Sunday, so I will take him in and head to Heather and Jed’s to complete the garden planting and do some computer work. And I will definitely enjoy the warmer weather in town.
