Day 19, Year 8: Happy Thanksgiving
Date: Thursday, November 22, 2012
Weather: Sunny Day, Windy and Cool
Location: Lightkeeper’s Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

Here’s hoping each of you had a happy Thanksgiving. We certainly had a good
day, but my feet hurt. We arrived at my sister Patsy’s around 9:30 am and I
didn’t sit down until almost that time in the evening. It is the
unfortunate fact that when a huge crowd of people are invited to dinner, the
ones preparing the food don’t really get a chance to visit. So I didn’t get
a lot of time to talk to family or friends that we had invited to come. I
couldn’t even stop long enough to introduce them, but they seemed to fare
just fine. The biggest problem we had was that there was too much food, but
hopefully we can chip away at that over the next couple of days. Tomorrow
we will spend time with the Stuarts and on Saturday we will spend time with
family members that are here for the weekend. The weather was beautiful
today and is supposed to be that way all weekend. It is still a bit windy
which makes it feel cooler than it really is but the sunshine helps to
overcome that.

We had hoped to talk to both of our kids on Skype with video today but that
didn’t happen. We didn’t take our computer thinking that we could just use
my brother-in-laws. But he has a new computer and didn’t have Skype
installed. We installed it but couldn’t remember our user name or password.
We tried to create a new account, but somehow that didn’t work. So we
didn’t get to see anyone, but we did talk to both families. Hopefully we
will get to do a Skype video call with them over the weekend.
