Day 152, Year 8: Happy 6th Anniversary to Justin and Jo
Date: Thursday, April 4, 2013
Weather: Rainy and Cool
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC
Happy Anniversary, Justin and Jo! You have had six amazing years together and here’s hoping for a lifetime of more amazing years. I wrote down a quote I found on the internet that said, “A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance, and tenacity.” That just about sums it up. So we hope you had a wonderful celebration of all of those things today.
Mark and I spent the afternoon and evening at Patsy and Joe’s visiting with Rex and Diana and later in the evening with my nephew Tommy and his wife Marilou and their children Madelyn, Cory, and Olivia. It was a truly delightful evening. We ate shrimp that Rex bought down at the waterfront, had dinner, and then spent quality time visiting together. Patsy was feeling good enough to enjoy the company. A highlight of the evening was when fourteen year-old Cory chimed in singing a Johnny Cash song with his dad. It was one of my brother’s favorite songs and it was great to hear his son and grandson singing it together.
The weather today precluded any sailing activity, but things are looking hopeful for Saturday. We’re not sure what’s on the agenda for tomorrow. I guess we’ll just play that by ear.
