Day 151, Year 8: Back on Windbird
Date: Wednesday, April 3, 2013
Weather: Still Sunny and Warm Enough
Location: Back Home on Windbird at Lightkeepers Marina

Mark and I are back on Windbird tonight. We haven’t slept here since March 16th and it is always a good feeling to be back home. At the same time, we have really enjoyed our time at Patsy and Joe’s. Patsy had another good day today and we are hoping that she is finally on a steady road to recovery. My nephew Rex and his wife Diana arrived today and they will be staying with Patsy and Joe for the next few nights. When they leave, we’ll evaluate and see if we need to return. But it is my sincere hope that Patsy will be doing fine and we can just go over during the day and help cook meals and clean. As much as we love staying there, it is probably important for all of us to get back to life as usual. I think both Mark and I are in a bit of shock at the fact that is April and we will be heading north to Cape Cod in less than a month. We have been so preoccupied with Patsy’s surgery and recovery that we have lost track of time. We are hoping to take Windbird out sailing with Rex and Diana and friends who are coming down from West Virginia on Friday or Saturday. Tomorrow just doesn’t look like a sailing day with 100% chance of precipitation. If we do go sailing, it will be first time Windbird has been out of this slip since our arrival in November. I guess that will be our test run to see if things are ready for the passage to Cape Cod.
