Day 147, Year 8: The Mainsail and the Big M

Weather: Still Cooler Than It Should Be
Location: At Home with Patsy and Joe, Calabash, NC
Today was all about the getting the mainsail back up and going out on the Big M casino boat this evening. This morning Joe and Mark headed to Windbird and Lee Kaufman and Brian Thompson met them there to help get our mainsail back on. Thankfully we had the help because it took all of them to get it up. I got there just in time to get a few pictures and then I was off to the grocery store. In the afternoon, I did a little Easter dinner prep and cooked dinner for Patsy and Joe for tonight. And then tonight Mark and I went out on the Big M casino boat with the Sail and Power Squadron. We had a nice dinner while the casino boat headed three miles offshore, and once we were out, the gambling began. Mark and I spent about $10 playing the slot machines and Mark was lucky enough to win $20. But we spent the bounty on buying beers, so we broke even. It was a long evening, but it was fun and we got to know a few of the club members a little better and generally had a good time. It is late so I’ll stop here and post photos in the morning.
