Day 142, Year 8: Pretending It’s Spring

Location: At Home with Patsy and Joe, Calabash, NC
Since spring is refusing to come, today we pretended it was spring. Joe got us outside to do some spring clean-up chores—cleaning out the gutters, cleaning the grill, pulling mulch back from the bushes. Janet, Mark, and I took a nice, long walk and that was about it for today. Patsy continues to build strength and feels so much better. Stopping the antibiotic was definitely the turning point. Now we just need the doctor to assure us that she really didn’t need it anyway. She goes to her local doctor on Wednesday and back to Charleston on Thursday for her post-surgery check-up. We’re hoping that all is well and that she can continue on this current road to recovery.
