Day 123, Year 8: Happy Birthday, Alan
Date: Wednesday March 6, 2013
Weather: Very Windy and Cool, Bright Sunshine
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

Today was our friend Alan Kanegsberg’s birthday. So Happy Birthday, Alan. Other than Alan’s birthday, there’s not much to report today. Mark finished posting all the photos that I have been renaming from Year One and I tried desperately to complete Mark’s 70th birthday book. I didn’t quite make it, but almost. We spent the day at Patsy and Joe’s using their internet to do these projects as internet on Windbird comes from our cell phone hot spot and we keep exceeding our limit. Joe kept the new breadmaking machine busy today by first making cranraisin bread and then making meatloaf—yes, meatloaf in the breadmaker. It was easy and delicious. Heather called this morning and we had a video Skype connection with Heather, Jonah, and Oliver. That was definitely the highlight of the day. It was extremely windy here today, so much so that even taking a walk was a chore. But at least we don’t have snow. Needless to say, we are ready for some real springtime weather, but it doesn’t look like that is in the forecast. As long as the sun shines, however, I’ll be happy.
