Day 117, Year 8: Deck Work, Photos, Argo, Margaritaville
Date: Thursday, February 28, 2013
Weather: Sunny with Temp Reaching 60 degrees F
Location: Lightkeepers Marina in Coquina Harbor, Little River, SC

More of the same today—I worked on Year One photos and Mark worked on the teak deck. He made more progress than I did as I got stuck in American Samoa. But if you’ve got to get stuck, it’s not a bad place to be. There were problems and I had to go back to the originals to find photos. Long process. Mark got all of the exposed screws removed from the starboard side of the deck today. It sound easy, but it was not. He was exhausted when the job was done, but at least he is done with that phase. We will wait a day or two and then fill all the holes. When that job was done, we took a long walk and then drove to pick-up Brian and Judy Thompson to go see Argo. It is easy to see how this was chosen as the best film of the year. Even though we all knew the outcome, we were on the edge of our seats throughout the movie. And after a good movie, well, you’ve got to go out to dinner. Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is right around the corner from the cinema, so that was our choice. It was a good day.
