Day 347, Year 6: Busy Day
Date: Thursday, October 6, 2011
Weather: Windy and Cool with Sunshine
Location: Eel Pond, Woods Hole, Massachusetts
Our day started early. We got up and made three trips to the town dock to fill jerry jugs of water to put in Windbird’s port tank. The starboard tank is still full from our fill-up in Falmouth last week, so now we should be all set for a long weekend. Then we headed to Heather and Jed’s so I could do a bit of laundry and get things ready there for Jed’s parents who arrive tomorrow afternoon to spend the long weekend. Mark ran a lot of errands getting last minute for the weekend. We are now back on Windbird, doing all of those things you do just before company arrives, so not much time to write. Mark works tomorrow and I head to Providence as soon as I drop him at West Marine at 9 am. We’re hoping things start warming up a bit tomorrow. It was chilly this morning with the wind. The overnight temps last night and tonight are dipping into the low 40’s. Windbird’s inside temperature is in the mid-60’s-not cold, but enough to feel a bit chilly and to remind us of what we can expect when winter arrives.
