Day 325, Year 6: Happy Birthday, Justin!
Date: Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Weather: Another Beautiful Day, Temps in the 70’s
Location: Eel Pond, Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Thirty-four years ago in the tiny town of Jenkins, Minnesota, our son Justin was born. He was born in the home that we had just finished building on a small 10-acre farm. He brought joy into our lives then, just as he does today. He lives in the high desert in New Mexico with his beautiful wife Jo and happy little Ziggy. When we talked to him yesterday he said he had to work today, but that was okay because he could work at home with his beautiful family. So . . . Happy Birthday, Justin. We love you! And we thank you for all the work you do for us on our website. Without you, I would never have started writing these logs and certainly would never have established a website.

Tomorrow is the first day of the Newport Boat Show. We are still hoping we can go, but it will depend on the weather and on how Jonah feels. We are planning on taking Sam and Jonah with us, but Jonah’s cold just keeps getting worse. I feel blessed that I recovered after only 24 hours, but Jonah wasn’t as lucky. But if Jonah is a bit better and the rain predicted for the afternoon hasn’t started earlier than expected, we will probably go for at least part of the day. So here’s hoping the bad weather holds off until late afternoon and that Jonah’s cold is no worse.
