Day 276, Year 6 All Together Again

It is so special for us to once again be with both of our children and their families after being so far away for what seemed like so many years. Our son Justin, his wife Jo, and Ziggy flew into Boston this afternoon. They had a good trip from Heathrow in London to Logan in Boston, arriving right on time. Mark picked them up and the trip back to the Cape was also a good one. By six o’clock this evening we were all together again. It’s been three months since we were all together in Puerto Rico. We had eight days together there and only three days together this time. On Sunday, we will leave with Justin, Jo, and Ziggy and go to Ashfield in western Massachusetts where Justin and Jo met at DoubleEdge Theatre. We’ll see their summer show on Sunday night and then be off to Boston on Monday. Mark has an appointment at Mass General and JJ&Z fly home to New Mexico in the afternoon. We know the days between now and then will go quickly, but we’ll make the best of them.
Tonight Jed did the cooking so Mark and I could play with the three boys. Ziggy explored the backyard-the swings, the “tree house”, the dirt digging area, and the ride-on toys. Sam showed off his new skill at riding on a real bike with training wheels while Jonah and Ziggy played in the “tree house” which they call a boathouse (it does have a ship’s wheel) and caught fish for us. The imagination of two year-olds is fantastic and just listening to their stories is most interesting.
