Day 267, Year 6 Loving Your Work
Date: Monday, July 18, 2011
Weather: Windy, Overcast, with Sprinkles in the PM
Location: Eel Pond, Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Mark had a great day at work today. He met more people who have their boats either here in Eel Pond or out in the main Wood’s Hole harbor. He loves meeting new people and helping them with their boat needs. And my work requires that I spend time with my grandchildren. So we are both doing what we love to do. After picking Sam and Jonah up from Summer Camp, they both fell asleep on the way home. So most of my afternoon was spent in quiet time waiting for them to get up. I managed to do a little laundry and house straightening while they slept, but I mostly read and just enjoyed the afternoon. Jonah got up first this afternoon and we had almost 45 minutes together before Sam got up. It’s always nice to have some alone time with one or the other and Jonah was especially charming today. Sam was super tired when I picked him up from Summer Camp, but after his longer than normal nap he had more than normal energy. Evidently he got up at 6:30 am this morning which is earlier than usual, but after getting so much sleep mid-day I’m hoping he’s not going to be handful for Heather and Jed tonight. Both boys are delightful but they can be a handful. Heather had to be on the road by 6 am this morning and she has to do the same tomorrow morning. So hopefully Sam and Jonah will cooperate and go to bed early tonight. Sounds like a good idea, so I think I’ll do the same.
