Day 258, Year 6 Quiet Day, Lively Evening
Date: Saturday, July 9, 2011
Weather: Beautiful Day; Temps in the Upper 70’s
Location: Eel Pond, Woods Hole, Massachusetts
Mark worked today and I stayed home on Windbird. I did some cleaning, some work on the website, and then I got a call from Heather saying they were coming to the beach in Woods Hole and wondering if I would like to join them. I declined the offer but invited them to come to Windbird for dinner. That’s when the liveliness began. I finished up what I was doing on the computer, got spaghetti sauce out of the freezer and put together a spaghetti dinner, picked Mark up at the dock when he got home from work, and then went back to pick up Heather and gang when they arrived. They were enjoying being on the boat and made an unplanned decision to spend the night and go sailing with us on Sunday. Jed drove home to get the necessary clothes while we got the kids to bed and settled in for the night. The main reason we came home was just this-to be close to kids and grandkids and to be able to spend time together. Life is good.
