Today was all about spending time with family and cooking, cooking, cooking. Then late this afternoon, friends Kevin and Claire arrived. Not long after they arrived, Patsy and I discovered that we had forgotten to buy lettuce for this evening’s dinner salad. Very shortly twenty-five people would be expecting to eat and all we had was the lasagna and garlic bread. This meant ANOTHER trip to the store which we felt might be setting a world record for trips to the store in one afternoon. But then the Thanksgiving Miracle happened. Kevin and Claire just happened to have a huge plastic container of salad greens in their car. They brought it to contribute to the food stores for the next few days, and how lucky for us that they did!

Tomorrow we begin early. Kevin has volunteered to cook the turkey, so we will be heading to Patsy and Joe’s very early. Thanksgiving dinner is set for 3 pm, so we have lots of cooking to do in a short period of time. Time for bed.
