Day 46, Year 10: First Family Members Gather for Thanksgiving
Date: Tuesday, November 25, 2014
Weather: Overcast with Intermittent Rain, Daytime High in the low-70’s F
Location: R Dock, Lightkeepers Marina, Little River, SC

The first family members arrived today for Thanksgiving. Nieces Lynn, Candi, and Candi’s husband Char flew in from Boston, niece Janet flew in from Nashville, niece Jennifer drove in from Charlotte via Wilmington, and nephews Rex and Barry drove down from Charleston, WV. Tomorrow more family members and friends arrive, so by Thanksgiving Day we will have quite a nice group together to give thanks. Mark had a cancer treatment today. He is starting to have something like hot flashes, but since the nurses at the cancer treatment center here have never had a patient taking Vectibix (panitumumab), they really have no idea why this might be happening. We’ll keep researching and see what we can come up with, but his blood counts are perfect and he feels great other than the periods of uncomfortable warmth.

Tomorrow will be a cooking day and hopefully this rain will stop by late afternoon. If it continues, however, we’ll still give thanks that it is not snowing!
