Day 309, Year 10: Yard Sale
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2015
Weather: Partly Sunny, Hot, and a Bit Humid
Location: Brewer Fiddler’s Cove Marina, North Falmouth, MA

Up at 6:30 am to get ready for the yard sale. We were done by 1:30 pm and packing up the things that didn’t sale to get them to the Swap Shop at the dump and the local thrift shop. We certainly didn’t make a lot of money, but I’ll call the sale a huge success as it reduced the amount of ‘stuff’ in our storage unit and in Heather and Jed’s basement. We spent our profits on a huge sushi dinner with Heather and Jed’s neighbors, the Keefes—Melissa, Brian, Molly, and Joey. They were also celebrating a successful yard sale. Tomorrow Melissa will run in the Falmouth Road Race and Heather and gang will go to cheer her on. We are back on the boat tonight and will stay here tomorrow and sand, sand, sand. We hope to get the entire cockpit cap rail sanded and prepped for a first coat of varnish on Monday morning. Mark thinks we’ll be back in the water by Wednesday or Thursday, and it sure would be nice to have the initial coats of varnish on. So the beat goes on.
