Day 13, Year 10: Work Day
Date: Thursday, October 23, 2014
Weather: Lots of Sunshine
Location: R Dock, Lightkeepers Marina, Little River, SC
Today was a work day. I went to my sister’s to clean and prep the back deck to be painted, but plans changed. Patsy and Joe had new furniture arriving this afternoon for their sun porch and I knew my sister would like to have the room cleaned before the arrival of the furniture. So we launched into an all-out attack on the cleaning the nine floor-to-ceiling windows and the floor in that room. Patsy had to take time out in the afternoon to go with Joe to the doctor. He has a roaring prostate infection and after antibiotic shots and starting a regimen of double dose antibiotics, he is feeling a bit better tonight. If he is still feeling better tomorrow, we will then attack the back deck. Mark and I will do the work and Joe can serve as director. Patsy and Joe’s daughter Jennifer drove over from Charlotte today and will be spending the weekend. So when we take work breaks, we can visit.
Mark had a good time today staying on the boat and doing odd jobs. He likes nothing more than just ticking those jobs off the To Do list. Lee Kaufman came over and assisted Mark and then Mark went to Lee’s boat and assisted him. They were incredibly productive, so I think I’ll leave Mark here alone more often!
