I did not mention in last night’s log that Jonah’s weekly check up appointment at Boston Children’s was unlike last week’s optimistic report. After a lot of weighing of the alternatives, the decision was made to go for surgery to ensure he will have full mobility in his left arm. Heather and Jed learned early this morning that the surgery would be this afternoon. The operating room and surgeon had to fit Jonah in, so the wait in pre-op ended up to be longer than expected. But late tonight, he arrived home with a much ‘enhanced’ sling and an ice machine. He looked good and was in good spirits. It was a bit of an intense day for all of us, but all is well that ends well.
Christina Brodie and I both have birthdays the first week of March, but today was the first time our group could get together to celebrate. We went to Leeside in Woods Hole. I had hoped to go for a walk in the village after lunch, but it was just too cold and windy. But lunch was great.
