2024 Life Logs, Day 316: So Happy to be Home

Today, my trip home from North Carolina went as smoothly as possible, but I still really dislike the Charlotte airport. Even when things go smoothly, the walk from the check point to whatever gate is always long, long, long. I just spent five nights sleeping in a recliner, so sleeping in my own bed tonight is going to feel so good. I feel like I am returning from another world. I have seen no news since the day after the election when the Presidential race was called. The Hallmark channel stays on in my sister’s apartment from morning to night and I didn’t have time to read NYT’s morning news on my phone. I don’t even know who won the Senate and House races. So, I have a lot of catching up to do. Tomorrow, however, is a day filled with meetings, as is Thursday morning. Hopefully Thursday afternoon I can start catching up on life.
