Fly Me to the Moon is the name of a movie I saw this afternoon. It is not an expression of what I would like to do right now to escape these last few days before the election. But since I am stuck here, I am trying to think of things to do to get my mind off politics. I thought going to a movie would do that, but things happening in the movie kept reminding me of politics. Ugh. The movie was released this July, but I had never heard of it. It was showing at the public library and a friend invited me to go. It takes place in 1968 as NASA is gearing up for the moon launch. And, yes, when Richard Nixon was President. It is billed as a romantic comedy, showcasing a different, light-hearted twist on the launch of Apollo 11. A fun movie, worth the watch.
