2024 Life Logs, Day 143: The Routine of Recovery

Location: At Home on Lakeview Avenue, Falmouth, MA
I find I am struggling with the routine (and pain) of knee replacement recovery. I know if I do not do the required exercises multiple times a day that the outcome will not be good. But the stretching hurts which makes me dread doing it. I much prefer just lying on my back, icing my leg with it elevated. Even the beautiful weather today did not tempt me to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. The physical therapist was here today, and she assures me I am still ahead of the recovery curve, and that I just have to keep exercising through the pain. I know it will get better, but I sure wish I could transport from here to there!
