2023 Life Logs, Day 59: Turning the Corner Back to Healthy (I hope)
Date: Tuesday, February 28, 2023
Weather: Snow Overnight, Rainy Mix All Day; High 37, Low 31 degrees F
Location: At Home in the Cottage, East Falmouth, MA

For the first morning in two weeks, I woke up feeling almost human. I think I have turned the corner with this cold, although after a couple of hours, I felt like I needed a nap. I still don’t have my energy level back and I have some congestion, but I think I can get back to life as usual.

When Shadow and I went out early this morning, the world was white with snow . . . but a wintry mix of was raining down and continued all day. Before this dreary day’s end, most of the snow was gone. School starting was delayed which delighted the grandkids, but otherwise it was an uneventful day. I took Shadow to his every six-week grooming appointment, came home and took a nap, went back to get Shadow, prepared for my Voyage of Windbird presentation to the Upper Cape Ski Club on Thursday night, and then went to dinner at Heather and Jed’s. Jed’s mother, Marti, is in town and this gave me an opportunity to say hello. She came in yesterday evening and leaves tomorrow morning, so this was my only chance. Then I came home and watched another couple of episodes of White Lotus. That was it for my day.
