2023 Life Logs, Day 309: Fall Back

Weather: Another Lovely Fall Day; High 60 Low 40 degrees F; Sunset 4:33 pm (-1 hr, 1 min)
Location: At Home on Lakeview Avenue, Falmouth, MA
Today was all about the change from Daylight Savings Time back to Standard Time. That meant a ‘fall back’ of one hour during the middle of the night. I got an extra hour of sleep, but the day ended with sundown at 4:30, instead of 5:30. Ouch. From now until winter solstice, we will continue to lose daylight hours. The ‘fall back’ was sadness for me, but joy for others like my daughter who loves the earlier sunrise.
I did more house cleaning this morning, had Heather and Ollie meet me at the cottage to pick up my kayaks and store them here for the winter, walked along Falmouth Heights Beach with Shadow, and did a little more work on my Voyage of Windbird presentation. Basically, I just enjoyed another lovely fall day.
