Day 54, Year 11: New York to West Virginia
Date: Tuesday, December 15, 2015
Weather: Partly Sunny, High in the 50’s F, 30’s Tonight
Location: Motel 8, Lewisburg, West Virginia

It was a long driving day from New York to southern West Virginia. We made a couple of stops and somehow our eight hour day turned into ten hours. So although we’re tired, we arrived safely, and that’s the important thing. We are staying about 45 minutes from our morning destination of Union, West Virginia. As far as we know there are no motels there, so we stopped in the town of Lewisburg, had dinner in a little Irish Pub, and headed to the Motel 8 we booked on Hotwire.

Tomorrow I’m headed to the Court House in Monroe County, West Virginia, to do a little family history research and then we’ll drive to Pearisburg, Virginia, to continue research there. When we drive between the two locations, we’ll make a little side trip to Wikel where Mark and I lived in the early 1980’s. We are curious to see how things have changed . . . or not. Then on Thursday morning we head to the Nashville, Tennessee area to spend time with family. Can’t wait to get there.
