Day 222, Year 11: Days Flying By
Date: Tuesday, May 31, 2016
Weather: Overcast with Rain Early, Then Clearing; High 70 degrees F
Location: At Home with the Goldstones, East Falmouth, MA

The days are flying by. We have been here at Heather and Jed’s for ten days now, and will probably be here about twice that many days before we are ready to move into our apartment. We will start moving things to the apartment on June 15, which is a Wednesday and unfortunately it is also infusion day, but heavy items will have to wait until the weekend when we have help. As anyone would be, we are anxious to get settled in our own space. But if the next 20 days go as fast as the last ten, the time will be here before we know it. Life is always busy here in the Goldstone household, but it is especially busy as end of the school year nears. There are concerts and picnics and special field trips, and on and on. So it is a good time for us to be here to pitch in with meal preparations and household chores while Heather and Jed are so very busy.

Early tomorrow morning Mark and I are off to Boston. For now, Mark’s infusion days will be every Wednesday with a few exceptions. My nephew Rex and his wife Diana are flying into Boston on Thursday, June 30, so we requested a Thursday infusion day that week so we can combine the trip to Mass General with a trip to Logan Airport to pick them up. But normally, Wednesdays from here on out will be reserved for trips to Mass General. Mark is now into his second round of the trial. Every eight weeks there will be an assessment to see if the treatment is effective. As long as it is, and as long as Mark’s body can withstand the side effects, the treatments will continue. We are now on track until the middle of July when there will be another CT scan to once again determine treatment effectiveness.
