2019 Life Logs, Day 39: A Shop ‘til You Drop Day
Date: Friday, February 8, 2019
Weather: Overcast with Some Drizzle; High 45, Low 24 degrees F
Location: At Home in The Cottage, East Falmouth, MA

This was a shop ‘til you drop kind of day.But before shopping, I drove to Hyannis to take my little Honda Fit to the Hyannis Honda Body Shop for repairs to my driver’s side door. I was to meet the Geico insurance agent there at 10 am. What I found is that the agent has an office right there. He took a look at the door, explained that it will have to be replaced because the metal had been pushed into the steel bar inside the door. The new door, the back door and a front right panel will all be painted to match. The cost will be over a $1,000, but I am not responsible for any of that. At least, that is the plan. The agent then called for the rental car agent to come and he arrived with a dark gray Nisson Altima and off I went.

My first shopping stop was Whole Foods in Hyannis for the sole purpose of buying organic dark chocolate bars. Whole Foods and Amazon are my only sources for the kind of bars I like, so I try to purchase them at Whole Foods instead of ordering when I can. Then I drove off-Cape to pick up an order at Target. That drive was 30 miles, so as long as I had driven that far, I decided to travel on another 35 miles to IKEA, Costco, and Home Depot. I am gearing up for starting seedlings for this garden and needed another grow light from Home Depot, some shelving from IKEA, and just went to Costco because I was in the neighborhood. I brought things home and then went back out to the gym to get my biking miles in for today.
