2019 Life Logs, Day 193: It’s Friday
Date: Friday, July 12, 2019
Weather: Mostly Sunny, Rain Late; High 90, Low 67 degrees F
Location: At Home in the Cottage, East Falmouth, MA

It’s Friday. No swim lessons, no lessons of any sort, just a day for end-of-the-week chores and then play. Well, Ollie and Jonah played while Sam launched into a money-making venture. He is trying to make money to buy a phone, so I offered the job of scraping and sanding my bike rack on my car. He worked for more than two hours and got most of the bars ready to paint. Then late in the afternoon, we all got in the car and I delivered the Goldpebbles to Woods Hole. Sam was catching the 5 pm ferry to Martha’s Vineyard to spend the night with his friend Robert. Heather, Jed, Jonah, and Ollie had a Woods Hole celebration of the end of the week. And on my way home, I stopped by Karen and Peter Baranowski’s to visit. Peter sent me home with a cooler full of quahogs, so my dinner tonight was a delightful clam, asparagus, and rice dish. I saved all of the smaller clams and will share those with the Goldstones tomorrow. Thank you, Peter! A lovely way to end the week.
