2019 Life Logs, Day 181: Spring Cleaning on a Summer Sunday
Date: Sunday, June 30, 2019
Weather: Sunny with an Afternoon Deluge; High 81, Low 60 degrees F
Location: At Home in the Cottage, East Falmouth, MA

It is finally starting to warm up and feel like summer. The spring was wet and cold and generally didn’t motivate me to do all of the things that need to be done to get ready for summer. It has only been in the past week that I have even thought about opening windows, but I had promised myself I wouldn’t do that until I had cleaned the windows. Not an easy task as the windows in the cottage are 1960’s vintage with screens and storm windows that hard to raise and lower with old, arthritic hands. But I gave it my best shot and almost finished before the late afternoon deluge. I’ll have to finish that job next weekend. I also disassembled the shelves I used in the living room for starting seedlings and stored those in the basement. It was a productive day and if I have another day like this one next weekend, I’ll have all of my ‘get ready for summer’ jobs completed.
