2018 Life Logs, Day 56—A Day at the Goldstones
Date: Sunday, February 25, 2018
Weather: Overcast with Rain; High 44, Low 37 degrees F
Location: At Home in The Studio, Falmouth, MA

I went to Heather’s at just before noon to deliver her seed catalogs that I had borrowed and to say hello after their week away. I hadn’t intended to stay all afternoon and evening, but that is what happened. Heather helped me with my phone, we talked about gardening, and I got to see the boys and hear about their week in DC. Sam and Jed had soccer practice and while they were gone, Heather took Ollie and Jonah to the toy store to buy some Playskool figures so they could play Olympics. They each got a figure on skies and when they got home, they set up a cardboard ski jump in the basement and invited Heather and I down for the competition. Heather scored each jump and the boys took this so seriously. We ended up with a tie for the Gold, first time in history, and then had an elaborate awards ceremony in the kitchen. Too cute. I stayed for dinner and we had artichokes and mushroom risotto. Yummy! It was a fun day.
