In addition to all the projects I had on my list for today, there was the final game in the World Cup. What self-respecting grandmother with three grandsons who love soccer could refuse to watch. So I worked and watched while Heather and the boys filled me in on plays I missed. Jonah, Ollie, and I had a quiet morning together. While they played, I did a little house cleaning and they helped me get the sand box filled with sand. Then Heather and Sam arrived just as the game was getting started. I made granola during the game and fixed lunch for everyone afterwards. Heather took off right after the game to drive her car home and then run to Menauhant Beach. The boys and I ate lunch while we watched the awards ceremony and then we drove to the beach. I dropped the boys off and then went back to Heather’s to finish doing my laundry. Heather put my sheets in the wash when she drove her car home and I just had to put them in the dryer. I did that and went back home to see how Nilson was doing with the two house projects I have hired him to do. He wasn’t supposed to come until next weekend, but he had the time today and got the door installed going from the bulkhead into the basement and got the posts put in the for the back porch railing. I didn’t get even half of my projects completed today, but they will just have to wait. All of my focus this week will be on having fun with Justin and Jo and the all of my grandchildren. It is so special when I can have them all together. It is going on midnight and I’m still baking granola. I made a huge batch and hopefully I can get the last load in the oven before I go to bed. I’ll just put it in the oven and then turn the oven off for the night. It will just need a little more baking in the morning.
