2018 Life Logs, Day 143—Weather Ping Pong
Date: Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Weather: Sunny and Warm; High 72, Low 53
Location: At Home in the Cottage, East Falmouth, MA

The weather ping pongs back and forth between sunny, warm, and beautiful and overcast, cool, and rainy. A day or two of this and then a day or two of that. But that is better than overcast and rainy weather every day. So, I’ll take the ping pong weather. Today was beautiful. I worked on getting shelves put up in the third bedroom that is going to a playroom for the boys and a pantry and work room for me. But it was so beautiful outside that I abandoned that work to get outside and work on the raised garden beds.At one point, I took a little break and walked down to the water and had a couple of surprises. The geese have had babies and they are so cute. And I came upon what looked like an all brown ferret. He stopped to give me the once over, as I did him. But in looking up what I saw, I think it was an American mink, not a weasel or a ferret. Tomorrow I’ll try to get photos. In the late afternoon, I drove to Hyannis to buy one more 4 x 4 foot raised bed to complete my garden design and then I attended the evening ice cream social, book fair, and art walk at East Falmouth Elementary. Jonah gave me a tour of his art work

and then Ollie gave me a tour of his with a bit of a flair, Ollie-style. Too cute. Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day. I plan to get up early and finish putting the shelves up in the third bedroom and then I am hoping to finish the installation of the raised garden beds in my front yard. Maybe I’ll even get some planting done.
