2017 Life Logs, Day 227: Time and Money

Weather: Partly Cloudy with Some Rain; High 80, Low 66 degrees F
Location: At Home in The Studio, Falmouth, MA

Naturally I miss those Goldpebbles that have been my companions this summer, but I also am enjoying my little vacation from Camp Oma. I spent my day doing ordinary things—a little house cleaning, a little shopping, but basically nothing of what I would regard as important. I enjoyed doing those ordinary things, but at one point, I felt like time was slipping through my fingers. I tried to make a comparison of time and money, as both can so easily slip away, but then I realized my comparison didn’t hold water. Time is elusive. There is no way to bottle it or invest it like you can do with money. You can protect your money and make sure it doesn’t slip away. Time, however, just keeps ticking away. It is up to each person to make the best of it every moment of every day. Some days are grander than others, but the real determination of grandness is whether or not you enjoyed your day. I enjoyed my ordinary day, and have now justified it to you as grand. And I look forward to another grand day tomorrow!
